Crynodeb

Alpha Health and Care Services (AHCS) is a CQC-registered supported living provider with a strong reputation for person-centred, high-quality care. We are looking for exceptional Support Workers to join a dedicated team providing intensive, bespoke support to a young adults in South London.

This is a genuinely rewarding and challenging role. The individuals you will support have complex profiles, including autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, intellectual disability and clinical anxiety. They are interesting and exciting young people with wide-ranging cultural interests — opera, theatre, museums, yoga and the arts — and have clear ambitions for their independence and future. We intend to provide teams around them that reflect those high expectations.

This is not a typical care role. You will need to be calm under pressure, consistent in your approach, deeply respectful of the individual's autonomy, and committed to following detailed support and behaviour plans at all times.

Essential Requirements
• Minimum 2 years' UK experience supporting autistic adults with complex needs — this is non-negotiable
• PBS (Positive Behaviour Support) training from a BILD-accredited provider
• Enhanced DBS (Adults and Children's workforce)
• Experience supporting individuals with anxiety, sensory processing needs and communication differences
• Ability to follow detailed care, risk and behaviour plans with precision and consistency
• Punctual, reliable and calm — changes to routine cause the individual significant distress
• Mature, non-judgemental and trauma-informed approach
• Confidence supporting personal care needs with dignity and respect
• Strong written record-keeping skills
• Eligibility to work in the UK

Desirable
• Comfortable with and/or interested in arts, culture, theatre, sport and outdoor activities
• Ability to swim strongly (required for some swimming support sessions)
• Experience working within a 2:1 supported living model
• NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
