Crynodeb
We are seeking to recruit an experienced registered health care professional who has worked within the hospital or pre-hospital field and has trained to become an Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP). The post holder will be required to deliver an advanced level of clinical practice working in Same Day Emergency Care (SDEC) within the Acute Medicine department at Whipps Cross Hospital. The ACP is expected to exercise independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of patients in SDEC, including the prescribing of medicines where appropriate, and referring patients to an appropriate specialty pathway.
The post holder will act as a clinical leader within the service, supporting the provision of evidence based high quality clinical care. They will play an active part in audit, quality improvement, research and the development of local multidisciplinary guidelines and protocols, incorporating current best evidence in consultation with other healthcare professionals. The post holder will be expected to practice within the Advanced Clinical Practice in Acute Medicine Curriculum Framework and the Multi-professional framework for advanced practice in England (2025).

Working within local and nationally agreed protocols and guidelines, the ACP exercises independent judgement to assess, investigate, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate the clinical care and management of patients which may include the prescribing of medicines and referring patients to an appropriate specialty pathway. They work alongside and support the education and development of other healthcare professionals and ensure the provision of continuity of care.
