Designed to support calm, therapeutic living, the home provides care for people with advanced dementia, complex nursing needs and mental health conditions.

The Role
As Chef, you will support the preparation and delivery of high quality meals for residents, ensuring food is nutritious, well balanced and tailored to individual dietary needs. Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team, you will help ensure the smooth running of the kitchen while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness.
You will prepare and cook hot and cold meals, support menu planning and ensure meals meet residents’ dietary requirements and preferences. You will assist with monitoring stock levels, checking deliveries and ensuring correct storage and stock rotation of food supplies.
You will also maintain accurate food safety records, monitor fridge and freezer temperatures and ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and preparation areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard. Your role will help ensure residents enjoy meals that are nutritious, well presented and contribute positively to their overall wellbeing.
What We Are Looking For
- City & Guilds 706/1 & 706/2 or equivalent culinary qualification
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently when required
- Experience preparing meals in a care environment is desirable but not essential
