About the Role

We are seeking a confident and experienced Level 3 Teaching Assistant / HLTA to join a welcoming and forward-thinking Secondary school in Bedlington. This is a long-term opportunity for someone passionate about supporting pupils' academic progress and personal development.

The successful candidate must be confident leading lessons and delivering learning to whole classes when required, making this an excellent opportunity for an aspiring teacher or an ECT looking to gain further classroom experience in a supportive setting.

You will work across the primary age range, supporting whole class learning as well as delivering targeted interventions. Key Responsibilities
As a Level 3 TA / HLTA, you will be expected to:
* Lead whole-class lessons where required
* Deliver high-quality classroom support across KS3 or KS4
* Plan and deliver targeted small group interventions
* Provide one-to-one support, including for pupils with SEN, and SEMH needs
* Support lesson preparation, planning and assessment
* Promote positive behaviour, engagement and independence
* Contribute to a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or HLTA status
* Experience working within a primary school setting
* Confidence leading lessons and managing a classroom independently
* A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
* A proactive, adaptable and professional approach
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for this role, you must:
- Have the Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional, child-related references covering the last two years
