We're currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) / Teaching Assistants (TAs) to join our friendly supply team in the North Somerset area!
Whether you're an experienced TA looking for flexible work, recently qualified and wanting to build your classroom experience, or passionate about supporting children and considering a career in education — we want to hear from you.
Why join us as a supply TA?
Flexible work that fits around your life — choose day-to-day supply, short-term assignments, or longer-term placements - You choose when you want to work!
Work in a variety of fantastic primary and secondary schools across North Somerset (including Weston-super-Mare, Clevedon, Portishead, Nailsea, Yatton, Backwell, and surrounding areas)
Competitive daily pay rates — typically £90–£110+ per day depending on your experience, qualifications, and the nature of the role (higher rates often available for SEN experience or Level 3/HLTA)
Ongoing support from our dedicated consultants who know the local schools well
Opportunities to gain varied experience across different year groups and settings
Potential pathway to long-term or permanent roles in our partner schools
Free CPD and training opportunities to boost your skills
What we're looking for:
A genuine passion for helping children learn and thrive
Experience working with children (school-based preferred but not essential — we welcome applications from nursery, youth work, coaching, or similar backgrounds)
Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) is advantageous — but we also welcome applications from those with strong relevant experience
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one — we can help!)
Right to work in the UK
Reliable, positive attitude and good communication skills
We particularly welcome applicants with SEN experience (autism, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs) as many of our schools are seeking extra support in these areas.
If you're reliable, caring, and ready to make a real difference to children's education across North Somerset, we'd love to have you on our team!
Apply today — simply send your CV to supply@educationpeopleltd.com or call 0117 325 1516 to speak to one of our friendly consultants.
We review applications on an ongoing basis and have immediate opportunities available.
Join a team that values its staff and puts children first — become a valued part of North Somerset schools through Education People!
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect all staff to share this commitment.
All successful candidates will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.
