Summary
Location: Featherstone
Contract: Temp to Perm
Hours: Monday to Friday, rotating shifts
06:00–14:00 / 14:00–22:00
Overtime and occasional weekends may be required depending on business needs.
Concept Recruitment are recruiting for a Quality Assurance Controller to join our award-winning client at their busy production facility in Featherstone.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established company within the logistics and food production sector, supporting the site in maintaining high quality and compliance standards.
Job Purpose
To ensure all site quality standards and procedures are followed consistently, supporting production teams to maintain compliance, food safety, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
▪️Support and engage with production teams to maintain quality standards
▪️Coach Line Leaders on quality procedures and expectations
▪️Conduct daily quality walks of production lines
▪️Carry out validation checks on metal detectors and checkweighers
▪️Produce test packs and weight packs for equipment verification
▪️Monitor and record site temperatures
▪️Complete positive release of finished stock
▪️Review production documentation and Vision system records
▪️Manage product release and product holds where required
▪️Carry out environmental swabbing and maintain microbiological records
▪️Maintain non-conformance and quality incident logs
▪️Conduct GMP, glass & hard plastic, and engagement audits
▪️Monitor pest control processes
▪️Support traceability exercises and mass balance checks
▪️Assist with accident and incident investigations
▪️Support risk assessments and update relevant documentation
▪️Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality Management System
Additional Responsibilities
▪️Deputise for the Quality Systems Coordinator where required
Skills & Experience
Essential Skills
▪️Strong communication and organisational skills
▪️Ability to work independently and as part of a team
▪️Confident decision making and problem solving
▪️Flexible approach to work and willingness to support operational needs
▪️Basic computer literacy
▪️Good literacy and numeracy skills
Technical Knowledge
▪️Understanding of food safety and health & safety standards
▪️Awareness of quality systems and production processes
Experience
▪️Experience working in a food manufacturing or factory environment would be advantageous
