Pay: £20–£30 per hour
Are you an experienced teacher or tutor who thrives when working one-to-one with young people who need a different approach to learning?
We are looking for skilled, resilient educators to provide specialist tuition to young people currently outside of mainstream education. Many learners have EHCPs, SEMH needs, health conditions, or have experienced school exclusion, and require patient, consistent support to re-engage with learning.
This role is ideal for qualified teachers, experienced tutors, SEND specialists, or education professionals who are confident working independently and want to make a genuine difference to a young person’s future.
The RoleAs a Tutor, you will:
• Deliver 1:1 personalised tuition in the learner’s home or local community
• Support young people to rebuild confidence and re-engage with education
• Plan and deliver tailored lessons across core subjects (and others where appropriate)
• Build positive, trusting relationships that help learners feel safe and motivated
• Adapt your teaching to meet complex and individual learning needs
We welcome applications from professionals who have:
• Teaching qualification (QTS/QTLS) or strong tutoring experience
• Experience supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, or those disengaged from education
• The ability to plan independently and adapt quickly to each learner
• Patience, resilience, and strong relationship-building skills
• The ability to travel locally for face-to-face sessions
• Flexible work tailored around learner referrals
• Competitive hourly rates (£20–£30 per hour)
• Consistent referral opportunities across Gloucestershire
• PAYE pay – no umbrella companies or hidden admin fees
• The chance to make a meaningful impact through personalised education
If you’re passionate about supporting young people who need education delivered differently, we would love to hear from you.
