Chef – Longmoor Camp (ESS – Compass Group)
Location: Longmoor Camp
Salary: £15.25 per hour
Hours: 40 per week (full-time, site-based)
Shift Pattern: 5 days over 7, a mix of early and late shifts
We are recruiting two experienced and motivated Chefs to join our catering team at Longmoor Camp, part of ESS within Compass Group.
As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will help prepare and deliver high‑quality meals for approximately 400 Service Personnel. You will work across two on‑site kitchens, supported by a well-established team of 16.
This is a busy, rewarding role that offers variety, stability, and the opportunity to make a real contribution each day.
Shift DetailsEarly Shift: 05:00 – 13:30
Late Shift: 10:30 – 19:00
Working Pattern: 5 days over 7
Meal Service Times:
- Breakfast: 07:00 – 08:00
- Lunch: 12:00 – 15:00
- Evening Meal: 17:00 – 18:00
- Previous experience in a high‑volume catering or chef role
- Strong knowledge of food hygiene regulations and kitchen safety
- Confident working as part of a large, fast‑paced team
- Flexible, reliable, and committed to high standards
- Site closed over Christmas
