We have an exciting opportunity for a Scheduler to join the Norwich City Service Limited (NCSL) team. If you are highly organised, a good communicator, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, we would love to hear from you.

About NCSL:
Responsible for key operational delivery and maintenance of Norwich city's streets, parks and properties by utilising all of the services that our environmental and building repairs teams have to offer.

We locally employ over 300 people with plans of continuous growth, aligned with high aspirations of excellent service delivery. Additionally, we also cater for various private businesses and residents across the city.

About the role:
This role is responsible for keeping repairs and maintenance services running smoothly each day, ensuring jobs are scheduled accurately, operatives are supported, and customer appointments are met. It involves managing key systems, monitoring job progress, coordinating with operatives and subcontractors, and making real‑time adjustments to maximise efficiency and first‑time fixes. You’ll handle rescheduling, maintain communication with tenants, oversee emergency and follow‑on work, and ensure repairs are closed correctly and on time. The role also supports Contract Managers with performance monitoring, supply‑chain liaison, and delivering a high‑quality service that meets client expectations and service level agreements. With a strong focus on customer care, compliance, health and safety, and continuous improvement, you’ll play a vital part in delivering a reliable, responsive, and customer‑focused repairs service.

The ideal candidate is highly organised, proactive, and confident working independently in a fast‑paced, customer‑focused environment. They communicate clearly and courteously with the public and colleagues, listen well, and make sound decisions within their area of expertise. They bring strong experience with Microsoft Office—especially Excel and Word—and can manage their workload to tight deadlines while maintaining high standards of accuracy and professionalism. With a flexible, can‑do attitude, they balance teamwork with the ability to take initiative, consistently deliver high‑quality work, and adapt to changing demands. They are committed to excellent service, open to further training, and motivated to contribute positively to the team’s success.

25 days annual leave, rising by a day each year until 30 days is reached. Plus 8 bank holidays and a Christmas shut down period.

This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered. This is a maternity cover contract and is expected to last 12 months.
