Crynodeb
To maintain clinical direction and leadership; coordinating a team of clinical staff for the continuous and consistent provision of high quality mental health care to people in mental health crisis. To carry continuing responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of care programs and the setting of standards of care for clients of the service. To demonstrate within the team clinical leadership and knowledge of a range of therapeutic interventions available to reduce distress for individuals experiencing an acute mental health crisis. Act as a role model in the practice area, encouraging staff in teaching, supervision, facilitating and assessing, create and sustain a supportive/teaching/learning environment for the practice setting. Be responsible for the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of programs of care for patients, incorporating risk assessment, to ensure safe and acceptable standards of care. Be responsible for the maintenance and accurate recording of patient information in the documentation systems and to ensure the effective dissemination of patient information throughout the multi-disciplinary team.
