Quantity Surveyor (PO3)

Description
We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (PO3) to join our dynamic team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in the planning and execution of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time and within budget. You will be responsible for the financial management of projects, which includes estimating costs, preparing tender documents, and analyzing contracts. Your expertise will be pivotal in delivering value engineering solutions and optimizing resources throughout the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders including clients, architects, engineers, and subcontractors. You will be expected to conduct thorough market research to inform cost estimates and contribute to risk management strategies. Furthermore, your knowledge of current regulations and best practices in the industry will guide project decision-making and ensure compliance at every stage. Responsibilities
Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.
Analyze tender submissions and prepare recommendations for contract awards.
Manage financial aspects of projects including cash flow forecasts and payment claims.
Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimize project delivery.
Collaborate with project managers and technical teams to ensure alignment on project goals.
Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgets and schedules.
Provide expert advice on contractual matters and assist with dispute resolution.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in quantity surveying or related roles.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
Proficiency in cost estimation software and MS Office applications.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

End Time: 17:30
Pay Per Hour: £28.00
