Mayets Sales & Lettings is a very well established and award wining estate agency in Blackburn and Preston. We are a highly professional and forward thinking estate agency.
Due to our continued expansion we are seeking a highly organised, proactive and driven Property / Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy estate and lettings agency. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the office, managing the property portfolio, supporting staff, and delivering exceptional service to landlords, tenants, buyers and vendors. Willing to train the right candiate with potential with extensive property management experience who is ready for the next stage in their career.
The ideal candidate will have strong property management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to implement efficient systems and procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesProperty Management
* Oversee a portfolio of residential properties
* Ensure compliance with current legislation (Right to Rent, deposit protection, gas safety, EICR, EPC, etc.)
* Manage maintenance issues efficiently from report to resolution
* Liaise with landlords, tenants and contractors
* Oversee tenancy renewals, rent reviews and arrears management
* Ensure smooth check-ins and check-outs
Office Management
* Manage daily office operations and workflow
* Supervise and support administrative staff
* Implement and improve office systems and procedures
* Monitor KPIs and performance targets
* Maintain compliance records and audit files
* Handle escalated complaints professionally
Business Support
* Assist with marketing and listings quality control
* Support growth of the lettings portfolio
* Maintain strong landlord relationships
* Contribute to strategic improvements within the business
Skills & Experience Required
* Minimum 2 years’ property management experience
* Strong knowledge of UK lettings legislation
* Excellent organisational and time management skills
* Confident communicator (verbal and written)
* Ability to lead and motivate a team
* Proficient in CRM/property software and Microsoft Office
* Problem-solving mindset
