Crynodeb
We are looking for a fully baptised Sikh Minister of religion to perform a key leading role as a Head Granthi (MOR) within a Sikh faith-based organisation in the UK.
The applicant will be preaching and performing pastoral duties in a Sikh religious order within a community which involves a permanent commitment to the faith,
The pastoral duties will include:
Leading worship regularly and on special occasions;
Preaching to children and adults together (religious education only);
Officiating at marriages, funerals and other special services; and
Offering counselling and welfare support to members of the congregation; and
Recruiting, training and co-ordinating the work of any local volunteers and lay
preachers and assisting in the smooth running of the gurdwara.
The living and food expenses for the Minister of Religion will be paid for by the Gurdwara for the duration of their 36 month contract, which is included in the annual gross salary.
