SupplyGo are actively seeking SEN Teaching & Learning Assistants, to work with SEN children of varying abilities to work in the Derby City area.
The role will consist of working on a 1:1 basis or in SEN rooms with primary aged children aged , predominantly with Autism, Non-Verbal, ADHD, and other relating learning difficulties.
You will be a part of a child's ongoing development and route to independence and will be working with other professionals to help create a fun nurturing environment. There is nothing better than watching a child grow and develop into a young adult with the knowledge that you have been a large part of that ongoing development. You will not find a more rewarding role and one with great benefits.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
· Forming a strong relationship with the children in your care.
· Helping the children become more independent.
· Supporting the children within the class with emotional support.
· Working with other education & SEND professionals.
· Working on a child's development plan.
Skills
Empathy towards the children or young adults in your care.
A positive can-do attitude.
The ability to build great relationships with pupils and colleagues.
You must be able to adapt to each child's or young person's needs in your care.
The desire to be a part of a child's ongoing development.
