What skills and experience we're looking for
Paulet High School & 6th Form College, an oversubscribed secondary academy in Burton upon Trent is looking for an experienced school business leader to add strategic leadership capability to our School Senior Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will champion a culture of collaboration, accountability and continuous development across all business and operational functions. Modelling professionalism and integrity, we expect you to build strong and trusted relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, championing the school and the Trust.
You will lead and develop the support staff, so teams feel valued, motivated and empowered to deliver high‑quality services that enable excellent teaching and learning. Compliance is key, and you will have the organisational and communication skills to ensure systems and processes are aligned with the school’s strategic aims and encourage the sharing of best practice. We’re looking for a school business professional who is proactive and solutions‑focused, looking to shape a positive working environment that is inclusive and aspirational where both staff and students thrive.
If you have a passion for excellence and share our vision, we can offer you the opportunity to be part of a successful and progressive Trust, which is committed to ensuring learning is at the heart of all we do.
We would like the successful applicant to take up the post 15th June 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter, to allow for a quality induction and handover from our existing School Business Leader.
Visits to school are encouraged and can be arranged via email to headteacherpa@phs.jtmat.co.uk or via our phone number 01283247900.
