Gloucester Academy,part of Greenshaw Learning Trust, has an exciting opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic Teacher of Maths to join our established and high-performing Mathematics team on a full-time, permanent basis from September 2026(with the opportunity to teach in July if possible).
We are looking for someone who:
• Holds Qualified Teacher Status and a good honours degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
• Shares our core values of Ambition, Excellence and Pride.
• Has excellent subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching Mathematics.
• Demonstrates strong classroom practice and a commitment to securing excellent outcomes for all students.
• Understands current curriculum and pedagogical developments, including KS3 and KS4 requirements.
• Is committed to continued professional development and collaborative working.
• Is dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
As a Teacher of Maths, you will:
• Deliver a designated programme of high-quality teaching across KS3 and KS4.
• Plan and teach well-structured lessons aligned with our carefully sequenced curriculum and Edexcel specifications.
• Inspire students to develop confidence, resilience and independence in Mathematics.
• Use assessment effectively to monitor progress, provide diagnostic feedback and close gaps in learning.
• Contribute to the department’s shared lesson resources and engage with evidence-informed pedagogy.
• Participate in weekly professional development, subject knowledge enhancement and collaborative planning.
• Support student progress through tutoring (if required), parental communication and wider pastoral responsibilities.
• Play a full and active role in the life of the school, including duties, CPD and whole-school events.
