About The Role
We are seeking an exceptional Early Years leader to drive excellence across our EYFS provision and ensure every child’s learning journey begins with ambition, joy and purpose. As a Reception Teacher and EYFS Lead, you will provide clear educational vision and direction, ensuring outstanding teaching and learning that secures strong outcomes for all children. Working closely with the Executive Principal and Senior Leadership Team, you will lead the strategic development of Early Years, embedding high expectations, robust assessment and a culture of continuous improvement. You will empower your team through strong systems, professional development and inspirational leadership, modelling excellence in practice and fostering a shared commitment to safeguarding, inclusion and achievement.
Alongside your strategic responsibilities, you will remain deeply connected to the classroom, planning and delivering engaging learning experiences, setting ambitious targets and creating stimulating environments where children thrive. You will build meaningful partnerships with parents and the wider community, ensuring families feel supported, informed and actively involved in their child’s development from the very start.

What will you do?
Plan appropriately to meet the needs of all children, through adaptation of tasks, having the highest expectation of every child and believing that every learner has unlimited potential for development.
Be able to present a coherent and accurate account of the children’s performance and other Early Years self-evaluation evidence in a form appropriate to a range of audiences, including the school’s stakeholder’s committee (SSC), the LA, the local community, Ofsted and others.
Lead and manage the creation and implementation of an EYFS strategic plan, with particular emphasis on improving the quality of teaching, which identifies priorities and targets for ensuring children achieve high standards and make progress, and securing school improvement.
To work with the Leadership team to monitor, evaluate and review the effects of policies, priorities and targets of the school in practice, and take action as necessary.
Support the provision of high-quality professional development by methods such as coaching, drawing on other sources of expertise where appropriate.
