We are seeking experienced care workers to support our ward team atBridport Community Hospital.

About the Role

Bank Health Care Support Workers provide flexible support to cover short‑term staffing needs across our services. Shifts can be booked in advance or on the day using theLOOP app, giving you full control over when you work.

You will be part of the multidisciplinary team onColmers Ward, ensuring patients receive high‑quality rehabilitation or gold‑standard end‑of‑life care during their stay.

Shift Patterns

Long days: 07:30 – 20:30

Nights: 20:00 – 08:00

A comprehensive induction and ongoing mandatory training

Bank workers are paid hourly: £12.75 - £13.60 (Depending on NHS experience)

Applications from candidates that require current Skilled Worker Sponsorship to work in the UK are unfortunately ineligible to apply for this position.

What do we need from you?
• Recent experience within a hospital setting, or significant experience within a nursing home/care setting as a carer
• Evidence of the completion of the Care Certificate.
• Someone used to working independently in a care setting with a minimum level of support

Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
