Job Title: Purchase Ledger / Purchase Assistant / Order Processor

Location: Chorley, Lancashire

Salary: £12.21 per hour (potential increase with training and experience)

Hours: Monday-Friday, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm (hours negotiable to suit personal commitments)

Contract: Temporary/ongoing

About the Role:

The Best Connection are looking for a detail-oriented and organised individual to join our team as a Purchase Ledger / Purchase Assistant / Order Processor. You will support the accounts and office team by processing purchase orders, maintaining supplier accounts, and ensuring accurate and timely invoice processing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and reconcile purchase orders and invoices accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain up-to-date purchase ledger records and supplier accounts.
  • Raise and track orders to ensure timely delivery and stock management.
  • Assist with supplier queries and provide support to internal teams.
  • Support general office and administrative tasks, including filing and record keeping.
  • Contribute to process improvements within the purchasing and accounts function.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and financial procedures.

Requirements / Skills:

  • Experience in purchase ledger, accounts payable, or order processing preferred.
  • Strong numerical and administrative skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • Confident with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
