Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:30am-5:30pm (1-hour unpaid lunch)
Type: Permanent
Pay: £12.90 per hour (£23,478.00 per annum)

Are you looking to build a career in a professional and fast‑growing industry? As a Junior Technical Assistant, you'll play a key role within our Technical department, supporting the delivery of high‑quality service to clients and brokers across open‑market business.
This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their career who wants hands‑on experience, structured development, and the chance to work towards respected, industry‑recognised qualifications.
What you'll be doing
Working closely with colleagues, you'll support essential technical processing tasks, including:
- Setting up quote files for new and renewal business
- Completing sanctions checks
- Producing quote sheets and preparing documentation
- Uploading documents to external systems
- Managing correspondence and diary entries
- Logging premium and settlement dates
- Raising invoices
- Producing policy documentation using company templates
- Supporting additional technical tasks as required
Your accuracy and attention to detail will help ensure a smooth placement process for clients and brokers.
This is a service-driven role where no two days are the same. You'll prioritise varied tasks using your own initiative, with guidance from your manager. While you won't be committing the company to contracts, you'll be expected to follow company procedures and uphold our professional standards at all times.
About You
You don't need previous insurance experience, full training will be provided. What matters most is your attitude and willingness to learn.
Skills & Competencies
- Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Strong communication skills (email, phone and video calls)
- Detail-focused, proactive and self‑motivated
- Keen to learn and develop professionally
- Willing to work towards the Lloyd's Introductory Test or CII Award in London Market Insurance
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum GCSE-level education
- Able to complete at least 15 hours of CPD annually (FCA requirement)
