Crynodeb
The Post Holder will form part of the existing team responsible for the Building Maintenance and minor refurbishments of the Trust. They will be required to provide a painting and decorating service within healthcare premises including maintenance of existing building fabric and full re-decorating works (lifecycle), to meet the needs of the Trust, by operating an efficient and effective Estates Service within the Trusts healthcare facilities to ensure the safe delivery of patient care; by:
Delivering a planned maintenance, repair & installations service which always represents quality and value for money.
Providing a safe maintenance service to all building\construction related infrastructure.
Assisting in the development of the Estates function into a customer focused range of services.
Adopting a flexible, integrated working approach to the delivery of Estates Services
Work in accordance with standard operating procedures, risk assessments and method statements
The post holder will be based at any premises operated by Nottingham University Hospitals
To operate and control a work issue, control feedback system.
To work with estates colleagues, effectively organising and managing the decorating workload and resources with due regard to management requirements. To be prepared to undertake other associated works as required within the remit of your role, training and pay band.
To ensure that signage is removed where necessary.
Apply high standards of painting and decorating in the process of maintaining and new build of a modern, complex health estate both internally and externally, under COSHH Regulations this is to include the application and use of:
Oil based, acrylic, epoxy, emulsion finishes. Micro porous, heat resistant, enamel paints. Floor protection, sealers, primers. Thinners and solvents. Stoppers and Fillers.
Interpret from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to this trade, without supervision.
Painting and decorating Trust property, internally and externally, to acceptable craft standards and using approved methods of working.
Prepare working area in an efficient and organised manner. Removal of all furniture, portable electrical equipment, fittings and fixtures and re-fixing on completion.
Wallpapering, varnishing, wall washing, application of spray applied finishes.
Carry out minor wall repairs such as patch plastering and preparation work.
Repairs due to damage from leaks, strip paintwork down to bare plaster, stain block and paint
