REPORTS TO: PRESCRIPTION LEAD/PRACTICE MANAGER HOURS: 20 Must be flexible The role is responsible for processing patient prescriptions in line with the practices Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring a safe, accurate, and efficient workflow. You will liaise closely with our lead prescription Clerk, Clinical Pharmacists, and community pharmacy teams to support effective medication management. Key responsibilities include highlighting any issues or queries related to repeat prescriptions to the Lead prescription Clerk. You will also monitor medication review dates, confirming that reviews are completed when due and escalating any overdue reviews to the relevant teams. Additionally, you will handle prescription-related queries from a wide range of healthcare professionals, including GPs, nurse prescribers, community pharmacists, community nursing teams, carers, care homes, and internal reception/administration staff.
