Quantity Surveyor - TN11
A leading residential developer is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Commercial Surveyor to join their regional commercial team. This is a great opportunity to play a key role in the commercial delivery of residential developments while working closely with internal teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
The commercial team plays a vital role in the successful delivery of housing developments. In this position, you will support the procurement, commercial management and contractual processes across multiple projects.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Cost Planning

Schedule and quantify materials and labour requirements

Support procurement and subcontractor appointment processes

Ensure commercial procedures and internal frameworks are followed

Work with other departments to ensure project viability and cost efficiency

Ensure specifications, programmes and quality standards are maintained
Cost Control & Reporting

Monitor and report on cost movements within project valuations

Process contractor, subcontractor and consultant orders and payments

Manage variation orders and dayworks

Undertake monthly site valuations
-
Carry out the CVR (Cost Value Reconciliation) process

Produce cost-to-complete forecasts and final account projection
- Experience & Requirements
-
Previous experience in a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial Surveyor role within residential construction or housebuilding

Good knowledge of Building Regulations, NHBC standards and Health & Safety requirements

Relevant construction or commercial qualification

Strong stakeholder management skills with both internal and external clients

IT literate, ideally with experience using COINS or similar commercial systems
