Finlay Jude Associates are recruiting on behalf of a leading delivery partner within the Anglian Water @one Alliance, to strengthen their Delivery team with the addition of an experienced Project Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead the successful delivery of multiple projects within the Anglian Water region, ensuring schemes are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Role Overview

As Project Manager, you will take responsibility for managing projects throughout their full lifecycle – from initial scope and design through construction and handover. You will lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with planning, engineering, and commercial teams to ensure successful delivery while maintaining compliance with industry legislation, Alliance governance, and internal processes.

You will also play a key role in fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture and ensuring that operational challenges are managed effectively to achieve positive outcomes for all stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full CDM compliance across all schemes through the TOTEX Delivery Process, supported by audits, checks, and peer reviews while promoting a strong Zero Harm safety culture.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, empowering engineers, commercial staff, and wider delivery teams to identify innovative solutions and resolve challenges effectively.
• Translate programme-level strategy into clear, deliverable outcomes, ensuring team members understand their responsibilities and contribution to project success.
• Take accountability for the entire project lifecycle, including scoping, design, construction, handover, final sign-off, and management of any post-completion warranty issues.
• Work closely with Commercial and Planning teams to maintain accurate cost forecasts, resource plans, and schedules while identifying, mitigating, or escalating risks where required.
• Oversee the development and implementation of safe, commercially viable, and fit-for-purpose solutions that meet project requirements.
• Ensure delivery of key project milestones, including Project Rehearsal and Fit for Assembly stages.
• Foster an open, collaborative working environment across the Alliance and partner organisations, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous improvement.

About the Candidate

The successful candidate will bring recent experience within the water industry and a strong understanding of health and safety legislation, CDM regulations, and drinking water standards.

You will be comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously and working within a commercial delivery framework. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills will be essential to challenge and influence a wide range of stakeholders.

Essential / desirable experience and qualifications include:

• Proven experience delivering projects within the water or utilities sector
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and CDM requirements

• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced delivery environment
• Knowledge of NEC Option C contracts
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams
