The Adults MASH (Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub) team at Waltham Forest is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Social Worker to join our dynamic team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who is passionate about promoting the wellbeing and independence of residents, and who thrives in a fast-paced, front-door setting.
Key Responsibilities
• Work in a strength-based and person-centred manner to support the wellbeing and independence of adults in Waltham Forest.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the Care Act, Mental Capacity Act, and safeguarding protocols.
• Analyse information, assess and manage risk in accordance with the Care Act 2014 and other relevant legislation.
• Complete Section 42(1) enquiries and ensure the safety and protection of residents.
• Screen safeguarding referrals, determining eligibility for Section 42 enquiries or signposting to appropriate agencies.
• Establish effective working relationships with external agencies and partners.
• Maintain high standards of communication and written documentation.
• Participate in regular supervision and benefit from a comprehensive range of training opportunities.
Person Specification
• Qualified Social Worker with relevant registration.
• Highly motivated, knowledgeable, and effective practitioner.
• Experience working within a front-door, multi-agency team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess and manage risk.
• Excellent communication and report-writing abilities.
• Demonstrable commitment to high-quality practice and performance.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with external agencies.
