RIVA Project Wisewood S6 – Day service/Support worker
Job description
The support worker will deliver planned activities to clients attending the RIVA Project and will contribute to the successful delivery of an excellent person-centred friendly service, the post holder will liaise, and support RIVA clients develop their social and independent life skills.
The successful applicant will be required to,
deliver planned activities and projects for a designated number of clients attending the RIVA Project.
Provide support and act as a role model delivering a person-centred service that meets the needs and aspirations of our clients.
Work as part of a team providing person centred support to a designated number of individuals.
Ensure that the support provided is based upon the assessed needs, ambitions, goals, and choices of people supported whilst maintaining and developing opportunities for individuals to participate in ordinary, inclusive activities.
To ensure that the RIVA Project Safeguarding policies are adhered to and that concerns are reported to the Safeguarding Lead.
Requirements
Experience in a social care setting.
A sound understanding of good care principles and practices.
An awareness of different disabilities, Autism, Asperger's and mental health.
Excellent communication skills.
A caring patient and understanding nature.
18 hours per week - Tues, Wed & Thurs
8.45am to 3.15pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch
£12.94 per hour
