We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Arts Psychotherapist (Art, Music or Drama) to join our community mental health services in Tower Hamlets. The role involves supporting adults with complex mental health needs and helping to provide safe, accessible and responsive care across a diverse local population.

We are seeking someone who can work independently, use sound clinical judgement, and collaborate effectively with colleagues across services. This role is part of the wider Arts Therapies provision in Tower Hamlets and across the Trust and contributes to developing and maintaining practice within our services.

The role requires close working with a range of professionals and community organisations, contributing to discussions related to care planning, risk and service coordination. Accurate record‑keeping, clear communication and awareness of cultural factors that may influence engagement are essential to the role.

As the service continues to develop in line with the NHS Long Term Plan, the postholder will contribute to ongoing pathway development, strengthening links with community partners, service user involvement and co-production and supporting approaches that improve access to Arts Therapy.

Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.

The Band 7 Arts Therapist provides specialist Arts Therapies to adults with complex and enduring mental health needs across community settings and diverse populations. Key responsibilities include assessment, delivery of individual and group therapy, and adapting approaches to meet diverse clinical and cultural needs.
