Your new company
You'll be working on behalf of BP at the forefront of the UK's net‑zero transition. This role supports the Northern Endurance Partnership (NEP) and East Coast Cluster projects, which aim to decarbonise the Teesside and Humber regions. The NEP is projected to store up to 23 million tonnes of CO₂ per year by 2035 and plays a key role in enabling low‑carbon power generation and supporting the growth of the UK hydrogen economy.
Your new role
You will support the Environmental function across a major energy transition contract, helping operational teams implement the Group SHE Management System. Your work will involve providing environmental guidance, coaching teams and supply chain partners, supporting or delivering training, and contributing to annual SHE objectives. You'll take part in assurance activities, support incident investigations, manage subcontractor documentation, analyse environmental data, and build strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
What you'll need to succeed
Essential
- Minimum of 3 years' environmental experience
- PIEMA or equivalent (working towards MIEMA/CEnv)
- Experience in contaminated land and brownfield sites
Desirable
- Significant experience within a relevant environmental or infrastructure sector
- MIEMA, CEnv or equivalent
- Understanding of DCO processes and consenting requirements
