Shift Supervisor – The Village Rest & Glenview Luss
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Shift Supervisor to support the daily operations of The Village Rest and our accommodation Glenview Luss. This role is key to ensuring smooth opening and closing procedures, maintaining exceptional service standards, and guiding our teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences across both sites.
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
Opening & Closing Procedures
• Ensure both premises are fully operational by completing all opening and closing procedures.
• Prepare the restaurant and accommodation for service, ensuring all areas are clean, organised, and guest ready.
• Manage guest check ins and check outs efficiently, providing clear information on amenities, property features, and local attractions.
• Secure the premises at the end of each shift and confirm all tasks are completed to standard.
Team Leadership & Guidance
• Supervise and support staff during shifts, ensuring duties are carried out efficiently and to company standards.
• Provide constructive feedback and help maintain a positive, collaborative working environment.
• Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless day to day operations.
• Oversee staff timekeeping and manage break schedules.
• Address staffing issues or customer concerns promptly and professionally.
Operational Excellence
• Ensure full compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and health & safety regulations.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and presentation across both properties.
• Handle cash and till procedures with accuracy and accountability.
• Keep workstations, dining areas, and guest spaces clean, organised, and well presented.
• Deliver clear and thorough handovers, highlighting key updates, unresolved issues, and ongoing tasks.
Customer Service & Guest Satisfaction
• Maintain a customer first approach, ensuring every guest receives exceptional service.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Glenview guests, responding to inquiries, special requests, and any issues that arise during their stay.
• Resolve customer complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Monitor guest satisfaction and support the team in delivering memorable dining and accommodation experiences.

Qualifications
• Proven supervisory experience in hospitality, accommodation, or food service.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
• Knowledge of food industry health and safety regulations.
• Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.
