University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is seeking to appoint a Locum Consultant Medical Oncologist for a 12-month fixed-term post to join our nationally and internationally recognised oncology service. The successful candidate will join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team delivering high-quality, patient-centred cancer care. The post will involve the management of patients with breast cancer across the full disease pathway, including early, locally advanced, and metastatic breast cancer. The role includes active participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, outpatient clinics, and inpatient care as required.

The postholder will deliver consultant level medical oncology care for patients with breast cancer across both University College London Hospital and Whittington Hospital, providing systemic anti cancer therapy and specialist clinical input in both inpatient and outpatient settings. The role includes active participation in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings, outpatient clinics, ward rounds, and the breast oncology on call and ward rotas as required. The postholder will also contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate education, including the supervision and training of specialty trainees, and will play an active role in governance, service development, and continuous improvement within the wider oncology department. Flexibility is expected to support service evolution across both UCLH and Whittington Hospital, reflecting the complexity of breast oncology care and allowing scope for the development of individual clinical, operational, and leadership interests.
