Royal Manchester Children's Hospital is looking for 2 enthusiastic radiographers to work in the Radiology cross-sectional team. The position requires the ability to work flexibly over 7 days for both day time shifts and non-residential on-call. The successful candidate will need to be able to attend work within a given time to satisfy departmental KPI's for trauma responses.
If you have a proven aptitude for MRI and CT and would like the opportunity to expand your clinical scanning skills, then we can offer the successful candidate exposure to high level, complex scanning techniques.
Training will be provided in advanced aspects of MR and CT scanning. Successful applicants will form part of the cross sectional scanning team and will be expected to follow direction from the senior MR and CT radiographers responsible for the daily scanning workload at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital.
RMCH uses a Siemens Avanta 1.5T scanner and a Siemens Somatom definition CT scanner.
RMCH undertake a wide range of examinations, including neurological, MSK, genetics and foetal. Scans are performed under both GA and sedation, along with providing scanning capacity for all urgent emergency care patients and in-patients. Collaborative work with a multi-disciplinary team, including health play specialists is required.
MFT is committed to staff development and currently we are support a radiographer reporting of MR musculoskeletal examinations.
