We’re looking for an Asset Surveyor who is passionate about ensuring homes are safe, sustainable and great places to live. Working within our friendly Assets & Compliance team, you’ll play a key role in delivering stock condition surveys, supporting planned works, and helping us achieve our carbon reduction ambitions. Role: Asset Surveyor
Pay: Between £38,700-£41,036* annual salary dependent on experience
Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday
Contract: Permanent
Location: Swansea and surrounding areas - Hybrid
Full UK driving license required

About the role
As an Asset Surveyor, you will:
Carry out high‑quality stock condition and energy surveys.
Update asset management systems and support planned works programmes.
Assist with gathering energy and carbon‑reduction data to support organisational sustainability goals.
Liaise professionally with tenants, contractors, consultants and external bodies.
Prepare costings, specifications and procurement documentation.
Monitor contractor performance to ensure safe, compliant and timely delivery.
Provide tenants with clear energy‑efficiency advice and help identify households at risk of fuel poverty.
Participate in option appraisals and contribute to improvement and remodelling decisions.
Work collaboratively with colleagues across Housing, Development, Property Services and partner organisations.
Take part in the Property Services on‑call rota.
This Asset Surveyor role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working with people, and contributing to safer, greener homes.
About You
You’ll bring a positive, “can‑do” approach and a genuine commitment to making a difference for our tenants and communities.
You will ideally have:
An HNC (or equivalent) in Construction or Maintenance.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
Experience of surveys, contractor management or asset management systems (desirable, not essential).
A kind, innovative, accountable and trusting approach—reflecting our values every day.
