Our client, a renowned Priamry school in Stockport, Greater Manchester, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced part-time EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) Teacher to join their specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) provision. This role offers a competitive daily rate of a minimum of £150 per day, along with the standard holiday entitlement and pension scheme.
As an EYFS Teacher in our client's SEMH setting, you will be responsible for delivering a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that caters to the unique needs of children aged 3-5 years old. Your primary focus will be on supporting the social, emotional, and mental well-being of each child, while also ensuring they receive a high-quality education that aligns with the EYFS curriculum.
You will be expected to work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including SEMH specialists, education professionals, and parents/carers, to develop and implement individualised learning plans that address the specific needs of each child. This may involve collaborating on strategies to manage challenging behaviours, provide therapeutic interventions, and foster positive relationships with families.
In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will be required to maintain detailed records, contribute to assessments, and participate in regular reviews to monitor the progress and well-being of the children in your care. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, will be essential in this role, as you will be expected to liaise with various stakeholders, including the school leadership team, external agencies, and the local authority.
The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification recognised in the UK
- Substantial experience working with children in the EYFS, particularly those with SEMH needs
- A deep understanding of the EYFS curriculum and the ability to adapt it to meet the individual needs of each child
- Expertise in creating and implementing personalised learning plans, with a focus on promoting social, emotional, and mental well-being
- Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to create a calm, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
- A commitment to continuing professional development and a willingness to stay up-to-date with the latest research and best practices in SEMH education
In return for your exceptional skills and dedication, our client offers the following benefits:
- A competitive daily rate of a minimum of £150 per day
- Standard holiday entitlement
- Pension scheme
- Opportunities for professional development and training
- A supportive and collaborative working environment
