Our client, a leading educational institution in Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, is seeking a talented and dedicated SEN (Special Educational Needs) Teacher to join their dynamic team. As an SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional educational experiences for students with diverse learning needs. - Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of students with special educational requirements
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) that support the academic, social, and emotional growth of each student
- Utilise a range of teaching methods and resources to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
- Maintain detailed records of student progress and regularly communicate with parents, caregivers, and other stakeholders
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in special education
- Contribute to the overall development and improvement of the school's SEN provision
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
- Extensive experience working with students with special educational needs, such as autism, learning disabilities, or behavioural challenges
- A deep understanding of the UK's SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) Code of Practice and the ability to implement its principles
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- Commitment to continuous professional development and a desire to stay at the forefront of best practices in special education
