The Opportunity
Barnsley College is seeking an organised, professional and proactive Secretarial Assistant to join our Leadership & Management Administration team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in supporting members of the College’s Senior Management Team by providing a high quality, confidential administrative service.
You will work closely with the Executive Assistant to the Principal and other senior leaders, helping to ensure the smooth running of day to day operations through outstanding communication, diary management and administrative support.
You will also contribute to the development and implementation of College Quality systems and ensure all duties are carried out in line with Barnsley College Health & Safety policies and equality commitments.
About You
We are looking for a motivated, organised and professional individual who thrives in a busy administrative environment. You should be confident handling confidential information, have strong communication skills and demonstrate the ability to work independently while being an effective team member.
You will be adaptable, proactive, and committed to providing excellent service to support senior leaders. Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise are essential.

Required
• GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
• Relevant NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent qualification)
• Experience of working within an office environment
• Experience of managing diaries
