Hours: 42 hours per week (4 on 4 off days and nights)
Pay: £13.47 per hour
Location: Westgate Oxford, OX1 1TR
Job Purpose:
To ensure the safety and security of the premises, staff, visitors, and assets by maintaining a visible presence, monitoring activities, and responding effectively to incidents or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
-Patrol premises regularly to maintain order and establish security presence.
-Monitor and authorize entry of employees, visitors, and vehicles.
-Protect property and personnel by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
-Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; ensure doors, windows, and gates are secure.
-Report suspicious activities, safety hazards, and security breaches immediately.
-Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, including fire, medical, or security incidents.
-Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
-Operate and monitor CCTV and other surveillance systems where applicable.
-Assist in enforcing company policies, site rules, and procedures.
-Provide excellent customer service to visitors and staff.
-Liaise with emergency services when required.
Skills and Competencies:
-Strong observation and attention to detail.
-Good communication and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
-Basic report writing and record-keeping skills.
-Understanding of public safety and security procedures.
-Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience:
-Previous experience in a security role preferred.
-Valid SIA (Security Industry Authority) Licence.
-Fire Safety training (desirable).
-Good physical condition and ability to stand or patrol for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
