Mobile Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – London - £46K
Overview
We are looking for a skilled and proactive Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM), fault diagnosis, and minor remedial works across high-end residential properties.

Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical building systems.
- Diagnose faults and undertake minor remedial repairs to ensure systems remain fully operational.
- Assist with installation and upgrade works when required.
- Maintain and service key building systems, including fan coil units, ventilation systems, and heating systems.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, contractors, and residents to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Deliver a professional and customer-focused service within residential environments.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience servicing mechanical systems within high-end residential, hospitality, or similar environments.
- Strong working knowledge of:
- Fan coil units
- Heat recovery ventilation systems
- Underfloor heating systems
- Lighting and associated building systems
- Familiarity with BMS and home automation systems within residential apartments.
- Ability to troubleshoot both mechanical and basic electrical issues.
- Relevant technical qualifications in mechanical, electrical, or building services engineering.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Physically capable of carrying out manual tasks and working in confined or elevated spaces where required.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Experience working in luxury residential developments or hotel environments.
- Knowledge of smart home technologies and integrated apartment systems.
- A proactive approach to maintenance and problem-solving.
Salary & Benefits
- £40,000 – £46,000 per year (depending on experience)
- Company van and fuel card – personal use
- 23 days annual leave, increasing to:
- 24 days after two years
- 25 days after three years
(plus bank holidays)
- Call-out rota: 1 in 10–15
