  • Drive meaningful impact by integrating insights into key processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring the delivery of measurable return on investment
  • This is a chance to strengthen your leadership profile by nurturing key relationships within the assigned customer franchise and ensuring collaboration with relevant stakeholders

What you'll do

As an Insight Activation Lead in Retail, you’ll play a key role in actively integrating insights into decision-making processes and forums, promoting the value of customer intelligence in achieving strategic goals. You’ll be accountable for ensuring insight leads to action and measurable business impact. This includes co‑creating actions with senior stakeholders, challenging assumptions, and holding the business to account through clear tracking and feedback mechanisms, so the value of insight is realised and sustained.

You’ll also deliver commercially sound and actionable recommendations based on robust insight, influencing decision‑making, shaping priorities, and ensuring customer narratives continuously evolve to drive improved business outcomes and measurable value. In this role, you’ll co-create innovative actions with stakeholders, challenge assumptions, foster accountability through established follow-up processes, and ensure insights and initiatives are effectively implemented. In addition, you’ll document these co-created actions to ensure value is both measured and sustained, acting as the primary insight partner for the Retail franchise and leading senior stakeholder relationships.

Furthermore, you’ll be:

  • Surfacing and prioritising specific needs for insights within the franchise, ensuring that these insights are relevant and tailored to business objectives
  • Feeding back learnings and outcomes to the team, contributing to continuous improvement and shared understanding
  • Managing, coaching, and developing insight analysts to produce cohesive insight narratives drawn from multiple data, research, and customer signals, raising capability and impact across the team
  • Collaborating closely with central hub teams to ensure insights are meeting business needs and driving actionable outcomes, while reinforcing a strong knowledge network within the bank
  • Ensuring compliance with central standards when creating insights and acting upon them, thereby maintaining quality and reliability across the bank

The skills you'll need

We’re looking for someone who can think strategically and turn insights into actionable recommendations, supported by strong business fundamentals and commercial acumen. You must be able to effectively influence and build collaborative relationships across different levels, functions, and third-party partners, demonstrating the credibility of a trusted business partner. You’ll also need to be capable of helping senior leaders convert research and data into simple, actionable, and measurable strategies, grounded in a deep understanding of customers, their needs, and the insight and marketing strategies, models, and practices that shape their behaviour.

Moreover, you’ll need to have the ability to aggregate insights from multiple sources to identify patterns and create compelling, coherent stories that bring the voice of the customers to life and provide timely, relevant insights. Strong problem-solving skills are also essential, along with the capability to address complex business challenges and communicate effectively through both written and verbal channels.

In addition, you’ll need:

  • Experience in applying mixed-method research, data, and analytics to generate insight, with a high level of numeracy and the ability to manage and coach business analysts
  • Strong experience in marketing or customer insight within a complex matrix environment
  • Experience in leading and developing teams, supporting the insight analysis team in their development
  • A development mindset that leverages technology and AI to become more efficient, delivering more value per FTE within the team and to the respective franchise
  • Experience with modern insight and voice-of-the-customer platforms
