What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a motivated and creative EAL Teaching Assistant, to be part of our forward-thinking team, in our vibrant and diverse two-form entry school.
We are looking for an experienced colleague to join our team, someone with a genuine belief in the achievement of all pupils. This belief in inclusive education is central to our Catholic ethos, where every child is welcomed, protected and loved. Candidates must be able to build a good relationship with children and have the ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of our friendly team.
The role involves establishing and developing consistent relationships with children and families to share success and achievements. The role requires supporting pupils with EAL. We are a very diverse school with over 50 languages spoke and a very high success rate for our EAL pupils.
This post does not require applicants to be Catholic, but the candidate will be willing to embrace the ethos of our school. The best candidate will be selected. As an inclusive school, we welcome applications from everyone!
What the school offers its staff
We have a dedicated teaching and support team who think outside of the box to engage and support pupils.
This is an exciting opportunity to join us and the successful candidate will join a committed team and make a significant contribution to the school.
The best way to understand our ethos is to come and visit us. We are a two-form entry city school with a dedicated and professional staff, a beautiful, green setting with lots of space (including a forest school). We are proud of our creative and balanced curriculum. Our website gives a flavour of what we offer.
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect everyone to share this commitment. This post requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All users are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed. Keeping our pupils safe is our first priority. We follow safer recruitment practices as per KCSIE and will rigorously take up and check references and carry out an internet check as per guidance
