What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, specialising in literacy, with the view for them to deliver high-quality literacy interventions including phonics. The HLTA will also support complex pupils to achieve their academic intervention through rigorous support of their social, emotional and mental health needs. The HLTA will work under the guidance of the SENCO and the Academic Intervention Team, and within an agreed system of supervision, to implement and design agreed work programmes with individuals/groups, in or out of the classroom.
The successful candidates will have recent experience of working with young people and hold a relevant NVQ Level 3 qualification or equivalent.
