What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint a motivated and creative teaching assistant, to be part of our forward-thinking team in our vibrant and diverse two-form entry school.
Candidates must be able to build a good relationship with children and have the ability to work flexibly and effectively as part of our friendly team. You will be working as part of a team to support teaching and learning within classrooms, including small group work and one-to-one.
What the school offers its staff
We have a dedicated teaching and support team who think outside of the box to engage and support pupils. This is an exciting opportunity to join us and the successful candidate will join a committed team and make a significant contribution to the school.
No previous experience of working with children is required, as training is provided and the school welcomes both those who wish to remain as a teaching assistant and those who wish to progress to teaching.
This post does not require applicants to be Catholic, but the candidate will be willing to embrace the ethos of our school. The best candidate will be selected. As an inclusive school, we welcome applications from everyone!
Commitment to safeguarding
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expect everyone to share this commitment. This post requires applicants to undertake a Disclosure and Barring Service check. The possession of a criminal record will not necessarily prevent an applicant from obtaining this post. All users are considered confidentially and according to the nature of the role and information disclosed. Keeping our pupils safe is our first priority. We follow safer recruitment practices as per KCSIE and will rigorously take up and check references and carry out an internet check as per guidance
