Location: Crowborough | Shifts: Mon - Fri: 06:30 - 17:00

Job Summary:
We are seeking a hardworking Production / Yard Operative to assist a busy timber yard team for our client in Crowborough. This hands‑on role involves working outdoors and in production areas, supporting the preparation, handling, and processing of timber. You will assist with yard duties, operate machinery once trained, and ensure the smooth day‑to‑day running of yard operations.
This is a great opportunity for someone practical, reliable, and keen to learn within a timber‑focused environment.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Handling, moving, organising, and stacking timber safely across the yard
- Operating timber‑processing and yard machinery (full training provided)
- Supporting the production of fencing, sawn timber, and other timber‑based products
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries
- Maintaining a clean, tidy, and safe yard environment at all times.
- Following instructions from supervisors and working as part of a team
- Ensuring products meet quality standards before storage or dispatch
- Adhering to all health & safety procedures, especially around machinery and manual handling
(Please be aware your role may not be limited to these tasks)
Requirements:
- Right to work in the UK.

- Previous experience in a similar role
- Good attention to detail and teamwork skills
