Having experience of risk assessment and the ability to work dynamically is also desirable. This post involves working closely with a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist to address the psychological needs of this particular service user group through a range of 1:1 and group interventions, including a Grounding Emotions Programme, which aims to teach service users techniques to manage trauma symptoms. The post also involves supporting with evaluating the impact of the pathway. The role provides opportunity to build upon clinical skills and develop multidisciplinary team working skills; therefore, good time keeping skills and being able to manage multiple, competing demands are essential to the role. This post would provide an ideal basis for individuals wishing to pursue Doctoral training in Clinical or Counselling Psychology. The successful candidate will be well supported with supervision by Registered Psychologists in the IMHT and Psychological Therapists within Talking Therapies, as well as by the multi-disciplinary team.
