Join our dynamic team of senior nurses as an Urgent Treatment Centre Matron!
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Matron for our Urgent Treatment Centres at St Mary's and Charing Cross hospitals to cover maternity leave. This is a cross site role.

As a Urgent Treatment Centre Matron, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality care, implementing new ways of working, and collaborating with the wider MDT to enhance patient outcomes.
The post holder should demonstrate clinical expertise as an emergency practitioner, as well as excellent patient assessment skills and have sound management knowledge. The post holder should also demonstrate the ability to provide strong, consistent leadership and maintain good interpersonal relationships with their colleagues.The post holder will be professionally accountable for standards of care, patient experience, workforce, and the well-being of staff.
• Direct, lead and motivate the Practitioner team in the Urgent Care Centres at Charing Cross Hospital, St Mary’s and Hammersmith Hospitals, to ensure a high standard of professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of the Practitioner service. This will include coaching and mentoring, resource planning, standard setting, performance management, team and individual development
• To provide day to day professional leadership for the delivery of the Practitioner service ensuring the needs of patients are placed at the centre of care delivery
• To provide assurance that standards of clinical care across the practitioner delivered pathways are of the highest standard attainable
• To provide credible clinical leadership by undertaking direct patient care in treatment of minor injuries and illness as required by the service
• To ensure a high standard of professionalism, efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of the Nursing service.
• To provide a clear focus for clinical leadership, providing a highly visible and authoritative presence, in order to facilitate the provision of high quality care, ensuring that the needs of the patient are placed at the centre of care delivery.
• To support the Head of Service / Business Manager in the delivery of a high quality patient focused care which contributes to the patient’s overall experience.
