Crynodeb

We are looking for a passionate SEN Teacher to join Haywards Farm School, our Ofsted rated Outstanding independent special school in Theale, Berkshire. At Haywards Farm, we are very proud of what we provide to our pupils, families and the wider community. Our highly skilled and dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants and therapists work holistically to get to know every learner and build their education around each unique, individual child.

You will be teaching primary-aged children (5–11 years) with social, emotional and mental health needs in small class groups. You will:

Deliver high-quality, engaging teaching adapted thoughtfully to meet individual SEND needs in a small class setting

Use trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches to create a safe, nurturing learning environment

Manage behaviour with empathy and clear boundaries, helping children feel secure and able to learn

Work closely with our therapy team including speech and language therapists and mental health practitioners

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and their families, promoting personal development and wellbeing

Contribute to curriculum development and whole school improvement, upholding our values of safety, belonging and aspiration

Maintain accurate pupil records and fulfil all professional responsibilities with care and integrity
