NO AGENCIES PLEASE The post holder will be required to: Adaptable and organised, to provide dietetic services to patients, across community specialities. Maintain high standards of record keeping and professionalism in line with HCPC standards. Adaptable to seeing patients both 1:1 and in groups, utilising face: face, and telephone modes of communication. Deliver education and training to staff and students as required. Participate in audit, research and service improvement work. Attend and participate in MDT meetings and dietetic meetings. Ensure compliance with our clinical governance framework and trust values. You will work in a manner which motivates colleagues, champions service user safety, dignity and drives continuous self and service improvement. You should be enthusiastic and self-motivated and will: Have a broad knowledge of general dietetics and evidence of continuous professional development. Be able to communicate well to both patients, students, and other health professionals. Experience of motivational interviewing and interest to develop more advanced communication skills to aid behaviour change. Have basic keyboard skills. Be flexible, able to prioritise work and meet deadlines. Have a driving licence and access to a car. Job Purpose Deliver a comprehensive and effective clinical nutrition and dietetic service to patients at hospital sites or in the community. Provide dietetic assessment, diagnosis, treatment, monitoring and management in the clinical setting. Act as a source of expertise in nutrition & dietetics to patients, consultant medical staff, other health care professionals, carers and relatives. Deliver education and training to other healthcare staff and to patient groups. Participate in team audit and research.
