SEN Learning Support Assistant | KS2 – Preston
Humly is recruiting a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join a primary school on a long-term basis.
This is a full-time role starting 13 April 2026 and continuing until 17 July 2026. The role involves supporting pupils within an Upper Key Stage 2 class, delivering both small group interventions and 1:1 support where required. This opportunity would suit a compassionate and proactive support professional who is confident adapting strategies to meet individual needs and helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting pupils within an Upper Key Stage 2 classroom environment
Delivering targeted small group interventions to support learning progress
Providing 1:1 support for pupils with additional needs when required
Adapting activities and resources to meet individual learning needs
Promoting positive behaviour, engagement, and independence in learning
Working closely with the class teacher and wider staff to support pupil progress
What You’ll Bring
Experience supporting pupils with SEN in a primary school setting
Confidence delivering small group interventions and 1:1 support
A patient, calm, and supportive approach to working with pupils
Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
Flexibility and a proactive attitude when adapting support strategies
The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
Pay
£14.85 per hour
