Summary

Your New CompanyYou will be joining a highly respected AJ100 architectural practice with a strong national presence and studios located across the UK. The practice is renowned for delivering large-scale, design-led architecture across a wide range of sectors and has built an outstanding reputation for design quality, innovation, and collaborative working.Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a talented Architect to join their Birmingham studio. The team operates across an exciting and diverse project portfolio, including mixed‑use masterplans, leisure developments, and high‑rise city-living schemes, offering exposure to complex, ambitious work within an established and supportive design environment.

Your New RoleAs an Architect, you will take an active role in the design development and delivery of projects from early concept through to completion. Working closely with senior architects, associates, technologists, and external consultants, your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and contributing to concept design, including sketches, feasibility studies, and presentation materials
  • Developing detailed design proposals and coordinating information throughout RIBA stages
  • Producing, reviewing, and managing drawing packages with strong attention to design intent and technical compliance
  • Collaborating closely with internal multidisciplinary teams and external consultants to ensure seamless project coordination
  • Attending and contributing to client meetings, design reviews, and stakeholder workshops
  • Supporting project delivery during planning, tender, and construction stages
  • Creating and managing 3D models and design information using Revit and AutoCAD
  • Ensuring design quality, accuracy, and deadlines are consistently achieved

What You'll Need to SucceedTo be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

  • Part III qualification and ARB registration
  • Strong design skills with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality concept and detailed work
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, with confidence working in a BIM environment
  • At least 3 years of UK practice experience, ideally on medium to large-scale projects
  • Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning policy, and construction techniques
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and visual
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a studio team and contribute to a positive, design-focused environment
  • A proactive, organised approach with excellent attention to detail
