Join our ambitious Estates Team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust. We are on a mission to become the best Estates team in the NHS!

As an Estates Maintenance Worker, you'll join our dedicated 40 member team where continuous learning and development are at the heart of everything we do. We're looking for two skilled professionals who will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our hospital facilities.

Adherence to comply with Trust regulations is a must, particularly those governing Health and Safety at work, and report any defects or hazards to the appropriate manager promptly.



As a vital member of our Estates team, you will contribute to the safe and efficient operation of our hospital facilities. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

Planned & Reactive Maintenance:
• • Conducting routine checks and maintenance across various systems, such as emergency lighting testing in line with Trust schedules.



General Building & Electrical Support:
• • Carrying out basic electrical and mechanical repairs, such as changing light bulbs, replacing lamps, and repairing nurse call handsets.
• Performing minor building fabric repairs, including basic plumbing, ceiling tile replacement, and simple joinery/decoration works.

Operational Monitoring & Compliance:
• • Collecting and accurately recording operational data, including utility meter readings and basic plant performance monitoring.

Safety & Quality Assurance:
• • Maintaining the cleanliness and safe condition of all hospital equipment, machinery, tools, vehicles, and work areas.
• Ensuring strict adherence to all Health and Safety regulations and Trust procedures, always prioritizing the well-being of staff, patients, and visitors.

Professional Development & Teamwork:
• • Working collaboratively within the Estates team, demonstrating initiative and flexibility to meet service needs.
