Summary
Safely erecting and dismantling scaffolding, platforms on construction sites.
Ensuring all scaffolding is level, secure and complies with safety standards - using proper foundations, ties and bracing
Loading, unloading and moving scaffolding materials - poles, boards, couplings
Installing guard rails, safety netting and safe access points to protect workers at height and the public below
Carry out site inspections - checking equipment for damage or faults before and during use to insure it is fit for purpose
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid certification for scaffolding
- Ability to understand specifications for building complex structures
- Thorough knowledge of health and safety regulations
